Looking for information on an African American family - Sloan/Sloane/Sloanes - Hale County. My grandmother was Ida Mae Sloan. She had a twin sister (do not know their name.) Ida eventually moved to Fairmont, WV. she died approx. 1963. My mother's birth certificate lists Ida May as being born in Moundville, AL. Some say she also lived in Bessemer, AL. If you have any informatin or know someone who might, please let me know.
