Thomas Husie Johnston, 72, of Route 2 Red Bay, died Oct. 7, 1973 at the North Alabama Hospital in Russelville. Services were Oct. 9 from Burnout Baptist Church near Red Bay with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Dean Deaton Funeral Home directing.
Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Lonie Johnston of Red Bay; five daughters, Mrs. Lorine Hardin of Hodges, Ala., Mrs. Edith Ledbetter and Mrs. Averine Hall, both of Red Bay, Mrs. Marie LeMay of Russelville, Mrs. Sue Cross of Spruce Pine, Ala.; four sons, Belton and Thurman Johnston, both of Vina, Howard Johnston of Red Bay and Billy Johnston of Russelville; one sister, Mrs. Lemelle Horton of Vina; one brother, Ed Johnston of Vina; 24 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
