We were never able to determine that this was our Emmeline Bolton. She was the daughter of Joseph Bolton and Priscilla South Bolton of Pinckneyville, Gwinnett County, Georgia. Emmeline appears with her children at the Joseph Bolton home in 1870 in Gwinnett County. We assumed her Mr. Strickland died during the Civil War. Henry was born about 1851, not 1951! We cannot find a marriage certificate for our Emmeline Bolton in Gwinnett County shortly we think before 1850 because of a fire in the courthouse that destroyed some but not all of the marriage records. Mary Emmeline Bolton is mentioned as the daughter of Joseph and Priscilla Bolton in a book about Gwinnett County.

What info do you have about Emmeline wife of Isaac Strickland marrying a second time?
