I am looking for any descendant of James M White, he was in Fayette County in 1850, born in South Carolina, his wife Sarah born in Georgia. He had 8 children, all but one born in Alabama. I am searching for my gggrandmother Elmira C. Palmers maiden name. Most places it is spelled Elmyra but in 1850 there is an Elmira White that fits the age for her. I am hoping some there is someone who can help with this. So far I have not been able to find James M White in the 1860 census. Thanks for any help.
