Neither of the two men you listed show on the roster of the 38th Alabama Infantry. Fayette County furnished men for several Companies of men in the War Between the States conflict in other regiments. You may search either at Alabama Archives and History site on line or you may go to National Park Service site and search under soldiers and sailors military records. If you would like to e-mail me direct I can send you the links.
