Lookup - 1890 census, Fayette County

I am hoping someone can help me with a brick wall. I have been searching for my husband's great grandfather for about 4 years with no luck........basically, a needle in a hay stack. No one who is still living knows his name. I do have several names of his children and some of them match a family in the Fayette County census of 1880. According to this census posted on the LDS site, Thomas Lyons and wife, Rebecca, had five children at that time:

Nannie B., age 9
Sallie M., age 7
William T., age 5
James D., age 2
John R., age 1

My mother-in-law is now 80 years of age. Her father was Lewis Lyons from Alabama. She remembers him having a brother William T., a brother Jim, and a sister named Nannie Belle. Lewis was born in January, 1883, so wasn't around for this census. I do feel Lewis belongs with this family and am looking for verification
