I have transcribed most of the estate papers of DAVID THORNTON who died on October 29, 1867, at 84 years of age in Fayette County, AL. David left a large family that was scattered across the USA and he and his family were of influence in the development of Fayette County.

A summary of those transcribed estate papers have been posted at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~alfayett/Thornton.html in an article entitled "Searching for Richard and Agnes Thornton." (This site is the Fayette County, AlGenWeb pages coordinated by Bobby Wadsworth.)
