Can anyone identify the Daniel Peyton of the following record?
FAYETTE COUNTY, ALABAMA, MARRIAGE AND PROBATE RECORDS by Betty C. Wiltshire
<< Fayette Co., Ala. Probate Court Minutes 1, page 557. [No date given, but others around it are 1855. Mary Gregg] Daniel Peyton estate. James M. Cockerham, administrator. Sarah J. Trotter (consort of Thomas E. Trotter), Mary E. Tercy (consort of M. C. Tercy, heir), James A. Peyton (heir), Martha C. Peyton (heir).>>
Note from Mary: Probably the name should be James M. COCHRAN, not COCKERHAM. There were both Cochrans and Cocherhams in Fayette County, but I think it probably was the Cochrans who were associated with Daniel peyton.
