I do not find the couple in the Etowah County cemetery records. I looked in the AL death certificate index and found this

Mary A.L. Monroe
died 20 October 1921
Etowah County
cert. 17746

J.B. Monroe (this is the only one that came close)
died January 1934
Jefferson County
p. 1110

I go to copy death certificates once a month. If you would like me to copy either of these, please let me know. I charge $3 per certificate plus postage.
