Looking a any information on the Owens (and related families) who were living in Short Creek area. George Washington & Lily Agnes Bradley Owens. Wm H. Owens (1860-61 to 1948)& Mary Francis Yarbrough Owens (1862-1896). He was s/o Wm M. Owens (1822-1891) & Elizabeth Lackey. Wm. M. was s/o Raymond Owens (1790 NC-1865 AL). Raymond migrated here in the 1840's. He fought in the War of 1812. I need any info, especially burial place of Raymond & wife Susannah Spencer. Where exactly is Short Creek area. Some of these people are buried in Dekalb County which adjoins Etowah.
