Looking for any information on Mary White who married Caleb Brothers around 1821 and lived in Clear Creek area of what is now Etowah County. According to family stories Mary was full a blood Indian who was sold as a slave to a family named White in Ga when she was 12-13 years old. Some say she was Cherokee but I believe she was Creek captured and sold by Cherokees
during the War of 1812. Also, oral family tradition says she was Creek. Would like any info on her adoptive parents (i.e. owners) and/or her biological parents.
