My ancestor, Hugh H. Miller, lived in Paulding County,Georgia before the war & later moved on to Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama where he drew a confederate pension. He volunteered & enlisted into the 7th GA Infantry, Co. C.in 1861 ; & was discharged on 18 February 1862 at Camp Sam Jones by Captain C. S. Jenkins, commanding the 7th Regiment. Approval of his discharge was given by a John Dunwoody,[later Lt. Col.] who was currently Commanding the 7th Regiment. Are there other researchers in Etowah County area looking at this same line or who have ancestors who also served in the 7th Georgia & later relocated to Gadsden, Alabama? If so, please post. M
