Mary, my Great Grandfather Robert S. Bishop b. 18 July 1828 or 1830 in SC d. 22 Sept 1902 lived in Etowah County, Alabama in 1900 although I have not been able to find him in the 1900 census. He served in Co D, 22 Alabama Infantry and entered at Kings Hill in March 1861 and was honorably discharged April 1865 having been wounded at Murpheesboro, TN. He is buried at Kyuke Cemetery in Etowah County in what is now an unmarked grave although it was marked enough to gather his information when a survey of the cemetery was prepared in 1963. I know he has to be in the 1900 census somewhere but I can't find him. If anyone comes across him in your search of Etowah County census records, please email me.
