Murdock McDuffie b. 1799 married Margaret Chappelear probably in Franklin Co., GA.

They moved to Cherokee Co., AL ca 1839. They lived in the part of Cherokee County which became Etowah County.

Margaret was the daughter of Henry Chappelear and Orpha Carnes.

Murdoch McDuffie's son Thomas Sidney McDuffie married Frances CHILDERS possibly Childress.

Thomas Sidney McDuffie moved to Cass Co., TX.

I would like to correspond with others interested in this family in the hopes of finding the parents of Murdock McDuffie.
