a clarification... present day conecuh and escambia counties were part of monroe co. in the 1820, 1830 and 1840 censuses. prior to that it was the mississippi territory.
by 1850, conecuh was formed from monroe co. escambia co. was part of conecuh co. in the 1850 and 1860 censuses. present day escambia co. was formed in 1868.
