Yep, Shirley, that's the same guy! I show that he married Margaret 20 Jun 1871, per DeKalb County, Alabama, Marriages, Book 1864-75, page 349. They had one son that I know of--Oscar, b. Jul 1872, who married Julia J. Brown on 3 Jun 1894 (Book E, p. 248).
