Hello Roger
Thank you for answering my post. My husband is a descendant of William T. Davidson, who was an older brother to Silas N. Davidson. I didn’t know A. R.’s middle name was Roe (sounds like it could be a family name), nor did I know Nancy was 1/4 Cherokee.
We were in Fayetteville Ar. in June for my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday. Bill & I drove to Tahlequah to try and locate William T. and A. R.’s graves. I have copies of their death certificates. William T. died in 1915 in Eldon Ok, and is buried in Boudinot Grave Yard, located 3 or 4 miles East of Tahlequah. A. R.’s death certificate doesn’t mention a cemetery, only that he died in Tahlequah in 1923, age 78. Cause of death, injury by a mule, accidental. I was hoping to find him there, and also Nancy. We found what we think was the cemetery, but were unable to access it. It was in a fenced in pasture, enclosed in another locked fence. My husband refused to let me climb either fence to check the headstones.
Our line goes as follows:
Allen R. b. 3-5-1845 wife, Nancy Blackwell b. Jan.1867 Married June 7, 1884
William T. b. 5-12-1885 wife, Grace Kirkland b. 12-23-1888 Married 8-5-1905
Allen Kay b. 3-6-1909 wife, Ruby Mhoon b. 6-20-1911 Married 4-19-1930
Billy Kay b. 3-9-1934 wife, Janet Mitchell b. 9-3-39 Married 11-17-1958
I think A. R. was married before Nancy. I know he was born in Alabama. He and Nancy were married in Dekalb Co. Alabama and had at least 10 children. I also have a copy of their marriage license. According to an 1880 Dekalb Co, Range 7 Twsp 7 Census, I found an Allen R. Davidson, age 36, married to a Harriet V. Davidson, age 27, son Joseph, age 10 and daughter Mary, age 6. It would be interesting to know if Allen named his first son Joseph after his father.
In another 1880 Dekalb Co Range 7 Twsp 6, I found this.

Two other Blackwell families living on farms nearby were:
Farm #140 Blackwell, George age 28,issue,6 Children
Farm #142 Blackwell, Thornton age 27, issue 3 Children
These could be older brothers of Nancy. In a 1900 Census, Hanna was a widow living alone.
I hope I have been helpful. I would appreciate any information, pictures, documents, etc. you have to share. If you would like copies of my certificates, let me know which ones, and your mailing address.
Looking forward to hearing from you again.
