I too am interested in the Wills (DeKalb County, Al.) My husbands grandfather was John Wills, Brother Lewis Wills. Lewis' grandson, Wendell Wills lives in Ft. Payne and another grandson, Erskine Wills lives on Sand Mtn. My husband's oldest brother, born in DeKalb County was named Andrew Jackson Wills and was killed in WWII. Their father, Melvin Wills, shot and killed the sheriff in Ft. Payne. Prob. mid to late 1920's. No charges pressed with promise he would leave Al. and never return. Went to Cartersville, Ga., Bartow County which Borders Paulding Co., and Dallas, Ga. There were 11 children in my husbands family. The grandfather, John Wills also moved to Cartersville later. He had 3 sons, Melvin, Noah, and Gid. Several daughters.
Any information you have would be appreciated.
Thanks
