I am still searching for ancestors of this family.
Calvin DAVIS, dob unknown, DeKalb County, married Jane Carolyn ? of DeKalb County. at least 1 son, Reuben Erastus DAVIS, born Abt. 1874, died 1918, married Amanda Elizabeth SWANN, b. about 1874, died Abt. 1955.
Reuben and Amanda Davis had 10 children, some of whom are/were:
Jewel, Kermit, Esmee, Ruby Irene,Lamar.
Amanda's parents were Billy (William?) and Harriett SWANN of DeKalb County, AL

Ruby Irene DAVIS married Aubrey LACKEY b. 1906, son of Levi Bennett LACKEY, dob unknown and Malinda Coleman, dob unknown of Dawson, DeKalb County.

I'll be most grateful for any clues.
