Elisha Freeman was born in 1809 in Buncombe Co., NC. Hannah 'Annie' Coker was born May 10, 1820 in Laurens Dist., SC. They owned land at the foot of Sand Mountain between Dawson and Collinsville, AL. The only thing left is the family cemetery. A highway runs about 10-15 feet from the cemetery.

I visited the cemetery today. There are 8 tombstones, two of which are Confederate markers. These are the inscriptions:

Elisha and Annie were the brother and sister of my gggg grandparents, Susan Freeman and Henderson Coker. I am descended from them through their son William Downs Coker, his son Obediah Downs Coker, and his son George Coker. I would like to share family info with you.
