Researching "Perkins" living in the DeKalb County, Mentone area of Alabama in the mid-late 1800's. Unknown Perkins married to Nancy Perkins b. 1802 in NC or SC died 1881 in DeKalb. Children are Susan b. 1835,James Madison b.1840 married Nancy E. Johnson and Javan(Jovan or JayVan)b. 1846 married to Mary Hall b. 1844. I believe all born in Georgia. Unknown Perkins born in Georgia. It is possible that Nancy was widowed prior to 1860. I can't located him anywhere as of this time. I believe their are still relatives living in the area from the James Madison Perkins' family. Would love to have contact with them. Any tips on how to find information on the unkown Perkins would be greatly appreciated. I also do not know where Nancy or Susan are buried if anyone could help me with that. Susan never married. It's a real treasure hunt! My husband is in the Jovan Perkins lineage.
