Roy, I am not related to any of the surnames you are researching but my husband has a Langford or Lankford line. His g-grandmother was Mary Elizabeth or Catherine Langford or Lankford. Her middle name varied depending on who you were talking to. We have never known anything about her father, we do know her mother was Emily King. The King family lived in Dade or Dale Co. Alabama in 1870. Mary was born in 1871 in Florida according to the 1880 census. The Langford connection has always been very vague and we have hit nothing but dead ends in researching it. Thanks, Jane
