My 4th greatgrandparents were James Watson Cook, and Mary Riddle Cook. Both long lived, and died in DeKalb County. At least two of their children, Robert Merriman Cook, and Benjamin F. Cook, lived near them. I am trying to find out any information about them; especially an exact year for the death of James Watson Cook, who was alive on the 1860 census, but only his widow was on the 1870 cenus. These Cooks go back to a Robert Cooke, who, as an indentured servant, arrived in St. Mary's Co., Maryland, circa 1720, and later married another indentured servant, Sarah Fielding, and had two children, John and Alexander, before Robert's death in 1728.
