Hi Donna,
I searched Death index and found a Jas. Atwell Smith that died on 9-20-1917 in Jackson County. Death record is Vol. 18,Roll 2,Page 284; you use this to order record from State! I couldn't find anything on her! They may not be a record or another possibility is if she was in a hospital in near by Chattanooga,Tennessee and died there!
I was looking at 1910 Jackson County Census and found 3 Paralee Smiths! The one living at Section,Alabama was married to a Newton Smith, they were living in household of her Father, James Robins;Newton was age 24 and Paralee was 25!
The second Paralee (age-67) married to James A. Smith (age-68) lived at Haigwood in Jackson County!
The third Paralee (age-22) married to Andy Smith (age-42),they lived at Stevenson in Jackson County!
I hope this helps you! Ray
