I don't mean to cause any confusion, but are you sure your Robert L. Brown was married to a Clemons? I have a list of Brown marriages from Vol. 1, Index to Marriages, 1836-1916, DeKalb County, Alabama. There is a marriage for an R. L. Brown to an L. A. Blevins on January 29, 1893, in Book E, Page 143. Could they be one and the same? Just curious.
