JAMES YANCY CARITHERS b. Madison Co Ga..Mar 16 1821 (s/o William C Carithers & Mary Ann Griffith) supposedly married Elizabeth (Ball?) in 1848 (?)
They appear in the deKalb Co Census of 1850 (age 28 & 18). It was checked that they had been married within the year..They appear on Land Grants
MYSTERY: 13 yrs from marriage date til birth of ROBERT GRIFFITH CARITHERS in Gadsden Jan 12 1863 Did the first wife die; were there many miscarriages...
JAMES YANCY DISAPPEARS FROM PAPER WORK..family lore was that he was conscripted in the Civil War , was a Dr. and died in NC in 1867...Absolutely no proof...Need to find Robert Griffiths Birth registered in Gadsden????
Need someone to check obits, cemetary, marriages, wills etc..for this family...Will compensate for mailing etc...
