I am glad to finally hear from someone connected to the Highfields. Dock O'Neal married Sophia Highfield, I believe. Sophia was a sister of James Highfield, my husband's g-grandfather. She was the daughter of Jonathan Highfield and Nancy Emaline Blevins. The Highfields lived in Dade Co., GA, Dekalb and Jackson Cos. in AL. Please e-mail me at lanew@tvn.net for for info.
