Hi..I am looking for my great great Grandfather's will and obituary, if anyone could help me. I have found 4 different variations in the spelling of his first name. It's either Pocins/ Portious/ Pocius/ Poshus Mead Lyons. He was born 1819 in Knox County, TN. and died January 7, 1885 in Ft. Payne, DeKalb County, Alabama. He's buried in Glenwood cemetary in Ft. Payne, Alabama. His wife was Malinda "Price" Lyons. They had 14 children: William Washington Lyons married to Sallie McPherson, 2. Thomas Lyons married to Julia Biggs, 3. Nancy Elizabeth married to James Stuart, 4. Sarah Lyons, 5. Ruena Diana/Deannah married to James Spangler, 6. Analiza Eliza married to G.W.Kean, 7. Perly Gunter married to Martha Ivason Lewis, 8. Harriett married to W.W.Wilson, 9. Carvilla California married to Ben Hammand, 10. Zaster Mead married to sarah Elizabeth Estes, 11. Tennessee married to Hugh Gay/ Huguett, 12. Laura married Ben Hammond, 13. Grief Green married Amand Corbin, and 14. George Lyons. If anyone could possibly look to see if they locate an obituary, and a will for my great great Granfather, I would be very grateful. I would appreciate any help...Thank you...
Sincerely,
Carolyn "Lyons" Potts
