Hi, Barb. WOW, this is exactly what I needed. Yes, I know the other Blanton family is related. Asbury Blanton is Joseph's father. I didn't have all of Asbury's children - now I do, or at least more than I had before.

This has been a GREAT help! Now I just need to find Joseph and Sarah Blanton in a later Dekalb or Marshall Co census to prove once and for all that this is my ancestor. My gr/grandmother was Emma Blanton, daughter of Joseph and Sarah (I'm pretty sure). Apparently, she hadn't been born by 1880.
