Does this BURNS line, of John W. Burns, tie in with the line of:

John B. BURNS (b 1681 SCT d 1760 Cumberland PA)

his son, Laird BURNS (b 1716 Cumberland PA d 1784 Craven SC) and his wife, Jennet Pock.

I'm using one of the LDS records for these dates and places, but I have other notes that are slightly different. I keep adding to these files, but since I'm still having such trouble locking down my facts with generations closer to me, it seemed senseless to pursue the descent from John B. BURNS, unless it led me to my own line. and so far, that hasn't happened.
Also, what county in KY were the BURNS located in?
