Hello Claude,
I'm back researching this family, and still struggling to figure out each of the lines! Everytime I think I have them sorted out, something pops up that confuses me all over again! I've started keeping a timeline, and occurence chart, just to TRY and keep track of them all!
I've been using the forum for Cooke county TX to research BURNS (and all my other family that were there from 1850s-1900s) and had some good results.
My goal right now is to try to find records of the death of John Cunningham's mother, (wife of Equilla BURNS, Lucretia Gaines Bruce BURNS). since I live in Baton Rouge, and we have good resources for LA records, I thought it would be easy!

My notes indicate she died in Sabine Parish in 1851, so that's where I've been looking, but no luck so far. Do you have any other location for her death?

One more question, what is the earliest Aquilla / Equilla BURNS that you know of?

I will be looking forward to hearing from you again, Kay Balsley
