Linda, I read your suggestions on research and wonder if you have data that would help me. I am looking for anything on some Taylors of DeKalb Co., AL. This is what I have: Jane Taylor married Benjamin F. Cook 2/1/1866 in Pike Co., GA but they were in DeKalb Co., AL in 1880 census. I am not sure where they were in 1870, but possibly still in Pike Co., GA. Jane was a widow with three Taylor children, Martha, William and John, and in the 1880 cneus, it looks as if she and Benjamin Cook have a child or two. I found Benjamin, 66, and daughter Sarah, 32, in DeKalb Co., 1900. I assume Jane was dead. I found William J. Taylor 2/28/1852, age 48, in Beat 17. I forgot to list the page #. I could not find Martha J. or John.H. I wonder if there would be a marriage or death on any of these. William J. Taylor (the one I found on the census), recorded his father as being born in SC and his mother in GA. That would be accurate of my William. I would appreciate any help. Taylor
