Turner -Spartanburg Co. SC connection

Franklin Turner married Mary L. Bryant Aug. 1, 1869 in DeKalb County, AL. Mary was the daughter of Henry Bryant and Millie (possibly Russell). Henry Bryant and family are found in the 1850, 1860, and 1880 censuses - DeKalb County, AL.

Neither Franklin/Mary Turner nor the Bryants can be found in the 1870 census. By 1880, when the Bryants appear in the census again, Mary Bryant Turner, a widow, is living with her parents, Henry and Millie Bryant.

I've hit a brick wall with Franklin Turner. I'm trying to connect him to a SC Turner family and believe his parents might be Phillip V. Turner and Nancy Lancaster of Spartanburg County, SC. Phillip V. Turner died in the late 1850s and Nancy Lancaster Turner died in 1862--leaving 6 orphan children.

I'm also trying to determine how Franklin Turner (if he is the same Franklin who was the son of Phillip and Nancy Turner) ended up in DeKalb County, AL.

Were there Turners or other families living in DeKalb County in the late 1860s with ties to Turners or Lancasters in Spartanburg County, SC?
