Just a quick note. I don't have anything specific on James Willoughby Freeman, other than his listing in Elisha Freeman's probate records in Marshall Co., AL. But the Freeman Cemetery is listed on the DeKalb County USGenWeb pages. I haven't looked at it lately but it should still be up.

Did you know that Ann (I've seen her as Anna, Hannah, and Rebecca Ann) was a Coker? It's in a Laurens Co., SC, equity suit over the estate of Robert B. Coker (her father). Elisha and his wife were living "outside the bounds of the state" of South Carolina in 1841.

I'm descended from William Downs Coker (b. 1832), a double nephew of your Elisha and Anna (Coker) Freeman, since his parents were Henderson Coker (Anna's brother) and Susan Freeman (Elisha's sister). William is found in the 1850 census record with Elisha and Anna Freeman but was mistakenly given as William D. Cooper instead of Coker. His sister Elizabeth (Coker) Lackey was also in the household.
