Dale County is inviting submissions of family histories for its volume of the Heritage of Alabama Series. Publication is planned for fall, 2000. Brochures with the guidelines (e.g., word limit, format, etc.) and for pre-publication orders can be obtained by writing to

The deadline had been Jan. 31, 2000, but on the brochure I received it appears the dealine has been extended to May 31, 2000. The guidelines in the brochure appear to be similar to those that can be seen on the Coffee Co. AL GenWeb page.
