I am trying to locate more information on the parents of John Albert Strickland/Stricklen. He married Martha Emma Bryan on October 26, 1895 in Dale County, Alabama. Martha Emma Bryan was the daughter of Jessie Bryan and Fredonia Hughes. John Albert and Martha Emma had 11 children. The oldest was Alexander Hershel Stricklen who was born April 20, 1897 in Wicksburg, Dale County, Alabama. The Stricklands moved to Washington County, Florida but moved a lot and lived in Dale County sometimes too. Martha Emma Bryan was born March 10, 1879. Her father Jessie Brown Bryan was born April 4, 1845 in Wicksburg, Dale County, Alabama. Fredonia Hughes was born about 1854 also in Dale County, Alabama. She was the daughter of John Hughes who was born about 1837 and was married to Nancy (unknown) born about 1837. Jessie Brown Bryan was the son of James L. Bryan born 1823 in Georgia and Martha Gilley born 1825 in Georgia. Any information on any of the above will be appreciated. Ann Robbins
