Looking for Eleazar "Ely" Sewell who married Sarah Trimnal, 3 Jan.1848, Henry Co.,AL. Ely is shown in an old settlers document as being born in South Carolina and listed were sons: Spencer, Uriah, Ransom & Ely. Ely is listed in the 1850 Henry Co.Al. census as Eleazar SOWELL. That is also the way the original marriage document reads in Abbeville, Al. at the Henry Co.,Al. courthouse.Ely is buried at the Old Salem Cemetery near the Dale/Henry Co. line.Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
