I am a direct descendent of John. My Mother is Juanita Hatton Haynes, daughter of Lillian Bailey Hatton and James Henry Hatton. My Grandfather was the a son of John. I have a detailed book about his family from Shelby County, mostly latter generations, so current cousins can meet. He was married several times and had many children. My Grandfather was born of Mary Chapman. He apparently lost wives and children as he traveled from the family's former plantation in Dale Co. Alabama through Georgia, where he married Ms. King and on to Texas.
