Looking for descendents of Richard Baker who came to Dale Co. in the 1850's. He was born in about 1802 SC and lived in Stewart and Marion Co., GA in 1840 and 1850. He was granted land near Ariton. His youngest son Richard E. was the postmaster at Skipperville. Two sons, Martin and Thomas fought for states rights in the Civil War. He had a son Watson who I have found no records of after he left his father's household. At least 4 of his children married Chapmans.
