I am seeking information on Charles Higgs who appears on the 1840 census records for Dale County, Alabama. In that Census, Charles Higgs' family consists of the following(ages in parenthesis): Males: 1(5-10), 1(20-30), and 1(30-40); Females: 1(<5) and 1(30-40). That's all I know about him. So, any and all information is welcome. I am hoping to establish a connection between him and my gg-grandfather, Green Berry Brown Higgs. Green was living in Covington County, Alabama in 1860 and listed his place of birth as Florida, possibly Walton County. I found a couple of Tax and voter records for a Charles Higgs in Walton County, Florida between 1845 and 1847. Thanks
