Dale County, etc. I'm searching for info on John Matthews and Martha Frances Baldwin. They would be my great grandparents. My grandfather was Warner T. Mathews who married Bell Marshall. His sister was Martha Ellen Mathews Bell. I'm running into roadblocks due to the change in the spelling of Mathews from Matthews. Would like to know real story of why it was changed and would like to research farther back on the Mathews family. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
