I have seen the census records and have ran queries on the Butlers of Columbus Co, NC...no luck yet. I did find where an older James Butler went from NC to Henry Co, AL by 1840. Both he and my James had sons named Wright! Ran queries on that too, with no luck.

I would love to hear the story of the 100 people who left Columbus County together. Do you have any of the names? Would be most appreciative if you would email me what you do know about this story. My address is:
