Carol, since you said that you have not experienced the problems that I described, I decided to do a little experimenting. I found that I did not experience the problem when I used Internet Explorer, it's only when I use Netscape that I get the error message. What's really strange is that Netscape will open some of the links on Tracking Your Roots without any problem. It's not a random thing - it's always the same links that Netscape hangs up on.

I've solved my immediate problem in that I can use Internet Explorer. But I prefer to use Netscape because of all the security breeches that IE has experienced. Before I give up on Netscape, I think I will reinstall Netscape just in case my present version of the browser has become corrupted. If that doesn't work, I will contact the webmaster before giving up on Netscape.
