This family is sometimes spelled Aldridge but more often spelled ARLEDGE and came from Fairfield and Kershaw Counties of SC. There are lots of other Aldridges and it's sometimes difficult to sort out these different families since the spellings are inconsistent. Another variation is Aldrich. Alabama descendants of this family today use all 3 spellings!

Samuel ARLEDGE, b c 1797--son of Moses and Huldah Arledge--and his wife Mary/Molly left Fairfield Co, SC in the late 1820s and were in DeKalb Co GA in 1830 and Harris Co GA in 1840, then went across the state line into Coosa Co, AL. Here are my records. If anyone is associated with these families please contact me at (my Arledge Family History website is Thanks!!
