Have you ever completed finding information on John White? I have him in the Coffee County, Alabama Census of 1850 as follows:

John White 53
Eliza A 30
Russell M. 16
Seaborn J. 10
Love Ann 5
Matilda 4

I ask because I am wondering if you know if he had an older son named James, probably from a prior marriage? I am looking for information on the James White that married Elizabeth Lowery, probably in Coffee County about 1849. She is a daughter of the John T. Lowery family also listed in Coffee County in 1850 and the 1860 Census for Walton Co. Fl has the Lowery's living there with James and Elizabeth's children Martha and John William - both of whom were born in Alabama. A family story has Elizabeth dying and James going off to fight in the Civil War. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!
