The James M Browning you are referring to was James Madison Browning. His wife was Anastasia "Stacie" or "Annie" Browning. Both are buried at Guthrie's Chapel, about 8 miles south of Millerville, Clay County Alabama. He was my g-g-granfather. Several of his older sons migrated to Texas. I think following J.M. brother(s). Browning, Smith, Martin, Williams families all intermarried in Clay County around Millerville area. Can provide more info if you are interested. Here's my email address: ciscoproie@yahoo.com
