Hi Josh,
Thanks for the two posts. I have heard of Gibsonville, not long ago.I did not know it used to be Wicker! Thanks for clearing that Wicker thing up for me. The Mattox and Suggs are the relationship of my granny Wells. She was Ava Odelle Mattox Wells. She married two other times after my grandfather Wells died, she married Huell Hawkins, whom I loved, and then later in her older years, to Jack Day, a very fine man.Not everyone has three wonderful grandfathers, like I did.
Bragging aside, the Suggs name was from my granny's mother, Elizabeth Suggs.I am seeking more information about the Suggs family of Clay Co.,Alabama. anyway,that is the connection I have. Have a good day- Lisa
