I am interested in finding anyone knowing anything about the Moncus/Muncus etc. (many spellings)family who came to Clay Co. about 1835-40. They start out in Pittsylvania Co. VA,(1741 William Muncus, land buyer) then Halifax Co. VA, then Surry Co NC,(1790 census, William Muncus) then Gwinnett Co. GA, (1820 census Benjamin Monkos) then Carroll Co. GA (1830 census Benjamin Munkus) then Randolph Co. AL (1840,50 census) Benjamin Muncus) Then Clay Co, James Logan Muncus, then Andrew Jackson Muncus. Anyone know about them? Wanna discuss them? email me kimonk@netcommander.com visit my webpage, http://kimonk.tripod.com Kim
