Sarah Ann A. Wheeler married Abselom Blye Keith in Carrollton Georgia in 1856. They were my paternal ggrandparents. My grandfather, William Clayton Keith--was born in Clay, Alabama in 1866 (Was Clay, Alabama in Cleburne or Jefferson County or was Clay already a county?) Anyway, after that, I can find no record of Sarah Ann A. Wheeler Keith. Abselom went on to have 2 other wives, but there is no mention anywhere that I can find telling what happened to Sarah. There is a possibility that Sarah was actually Sarah Putman who married Rufus Wheeler and was widowed before marrying Abselom. However, there is no information on Rufus Wheeler after his marriage to Sarah Putman. I know there is some piece of information out there! If you have any bit of information that might help me, please respond.
