Sometimes computers have a mind of their own. I did not finish my note..

Anyway, we have been working on this for a long time now and people were working very hard before I started. However, I am very optimistic now that we will be able to pull our family together with some documentation. If we can, we will be proven cousins. I am descended from the James W Barnes family. I believe he was her brother.

Do you know if there are any letters or notations regarding cousins or other family members? We can use everything we can find. I know that James and Martha were side by side in the 1860 census. Also, do you know if there has been any discussion of Indian blood in our family?? It keeps coming up in conversation. I am understanding that there may be Cherokee blood in our Barnes family??

Perhaps if we find a photo of Francis, Cynthia, Drury, Martha Cole, and James, there may be some features that would suggest this legend.
